If you suspect that someone you know might be a lesbian, the most important thing is to approach the situation with respect and sensitivity. It is not your place to “out” someone or make assumptions about their sexual orientation. If the person feels comfortable and chooses to share their sexual orientation with you, it is important to be supportive and accepting.
